I just picked this slab up from a very nice single mom in Sylvan Lake. She purchased several years back and was going to build a desk and use this as the top. This slab has a bow and cup on each side and has a 2.15 thickness on one end and the other end tappers down to 1.10 thickness. I normally would not purchase a slab with these characteristics, but I like a challenge. The dimensions of this slab are: 28 inch wide on one end with the 2 inch thickness 23 inch wide in the center 27 inch wide on the other endRead More →
Several months ago I picked this up from a nice young mother in Red Deer. This was given to her from her uncle, who originally purchased this. I found this on Market Place and was one of very many inquiring about it. I messaged her, “when I could see and pickup the table and if she would like cash or for me to e-transfer money to her account.” She contacted me back and gave me a time. I had two of my friends and myself (mostly them) carry this up the stairs from her basement and loaded all the items into my truck. It cameRead More →
This Mobile Work Cart is very easy to make and uses minimal plywood and materials to build. I used a 7/16 OSB sheet and three 8 feet 2×4 for this project. I did purchase from Princess Auto two 4 in. Thermoplastic-Rubber Rigid Casters and two 4 in and two Thermoplastic-Rubber Swivel Casters. They support 180lb Load Capacity. There are so many ways to make a mobile work cart. I wanted just a simple cart that held my planer and my Oscillating Spindle Sander. I will also use this for my drill press and band saw. I might add a drawer under the top to holdRead More →
This Crosscut Sled is very easy to make and uses minimal plywood and materials to build. I used scrape 5/8 Baltic Birch plywood that I had laying around from another project. There are so many ways to make crosscut sleds with clamping systems, sliding stop blocks, aluminum rails, and a mounted measuring tape. I just like to keep things simple and affordable for anyone to build. I have included some CAD Views, pictures I took while building and material layout and cut list . I use a free online program called Workshop Buddy. Check it out https:// workshop-buddy.com. Here is a link to my CrosscutRead More →

After moving from Lakeway Landing in Sylvan Lake Alberta to our condo in Sylvan Lake, I needed a place to work. I tried several garages that I rented from others and it was either the times I could build or the travel to where the shop was located. I ran across Premier Portable Buildings here in Canada and contacted Greg Reese. He told me that they make a 12×32 foot garage on skids. It has 2 insulated window, one man door, and a 10 foot wide roll up door. He told me it take 6 weeks for the build and delivery. I asked him ifRead More →
